The conveyor mounted system gets it’s power from the 12volt system on the conveyor. We do not tap into the conveyors’ hydraulics but “make our own”. This keeps the integrity of the manufactures’ equipment intact should there be failure; there are no pointing fingers. In a nutshell, this is our DC unit running on 12 volt from the battery on the engine.

We use a SPX Stone pump and 12 volt DC motor, couple it with the our Char-Lynn Eaton hydraulic motor and set to the same specifications as all our units. We run at 2950 psi and 2 gpm. The controls are next to the hydraulic controls on the unit; the operator is not jumping around to start and stop the belt or regulate the flow by closing or opening the door.

The opener is mounted on a 4” beam and slides to either side. This system allows for a moving capstan and any width gate while still aligning the product drop point to the conveyor. It is very slick.

The Arnold Company already had the widest variety of door openers but has solved another application issue with the conveyor-mounted Demon. Being the only company that concentrates solely on gate openers allows for maximum customer interface and problem solving. As in this case, listening to the customer needs resulted in a new product solution. Elimination of the old manual bar openers has prevented countless injuries. Be proactive!

Application: The already proven, smooth hydraulic opener rides from side to side on a 4” beam. This allows it to be used on either side of the conveyor, on moving capstans, and on any width gate while still aligning the product drop point to the conveyor. The controls allow for opening and closing of the gate from either side of the conveyor.
